This project consisted of 7x7-inch hard cover books that I designed, wrote and produced. It was fun creating the miniature set designs, posing the characters and taking the photographs. I also drew some illustrations and developed the overall design and page layout. Blurb was great for printing them in small quantity.
For the Lulu & Belle set designs, I used colorful pieces of felt. Everything was hand cut and sewn to create the backgrounds for the different sets. Objects were placed in front of the backgrounds to create perspective.
In the second book, My Mom's Dolls, I used different craft papers for the backgrounds and also little objects to finish off the different scenes.
